if you’re 2 years or less on t rn and like ‘man. how does t work so well for others but not me. i think this is all that’s gonna happen.. i think my changes are over’ your changes are not over, that’s like. very unlikely to be true. i can’t tell you that you will get every change you want, but two years on t is still early stages, as someone over double that marker, i’m noticing new changes literally all the time. I know its slow. but two years on t jude was beating himself up constantly over how ‘t just isn’t working’ when i literally just had to wait a little longer
i know two years feels like a forever amount of time to not be like. everything you wanted but like. think of it this way. say you meet a 13 year old cis boy who just began puberty. and then you see him two years later, at 15. he looks different, sure! but he doesnt look like someone who is fully through puberty. at 18 or 20, yeah maybe more so. its gonna take time, but you will get there. i specifically bring up two years on t bc its the time i and a lot of other ppl start to get antsy bc two years is a fucking long time to not have everything you want yet, but like. hrt is a looooong process. unless you plan on goin off it, you will probably not see your more obvious changes end for several years. and even then, its not like hrt stops working when your body finishes ‘puberty’. it’s a longtime thing if you plan on not stopping it.
i’m glad ppl on E are resonating with this post and saying it was similar for them, the only reason i specificied T and not HRT in general is that i only have experience with T, and don’t want to speak for a experience i’ve never had (especially because i was on horomone blockers and hrt by 14 and never even finished an estrogen puberty in the first place.) but yes please don’t feel bad about relating to this or reblogging this if you have never been on t, i’m glad people on estrogen could relate!!
